Where will Too Loud Fest take place?

Too Loud Fest will take place on several locations in Zagreb, Croatia. The central event, an audio-video show, will be held throughout the 3 floors of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Zagreb, Croatia. All of the locations are marked on the festival map.

You would like to acquire a quality stereo system, but have no idea where to start from? Members of the Zagreb Audiofil Club will explain what to pay attention to while shopping, how to connect different components, what makes up the difference in price, and what is worth the investment.

Not happy with the way music sounds in your home? The spoken tone you use with the members of your family is loud and indistinct? Your work concentration is down? 16.00 – 17.00 High Tech 4K Home Theater Projector; Sony Laser Ultra Short Throw HDR Projector and Sonos Playbase (Ascomm, room 918, 9th floor)

Croatian premiere of a laser 4K projector with an ultra-short throw: Sony VPL-VZ1000ES and Sonos Playbase sound system. A combination made for a home theater of a new advanced generation.


17.00 – 18.00 Musical performance: Doris Karamatić (Blackwood, Mimoza room 2 – 2nd floor)

Doris Karamatić, a Croatian harpist player, graduated in 1996 from the Zagreb Academy of Music. She trained in Vienna with Professor M. Stadler. She worked with many renowned Croatian classical, jazz, pop, and rock musicians. Doris Karamatić’s view on the harp takes the instrument out of the classical context, so she widens her repertoire to jazz, rock, and heavy metal. She is the initiator and author of the “Stand Down Harp” program of musical stand-up, performed all over Croatia.


18.00 – 19.00 Workshop: Vinyl Factory – Part 1 (Audiofil Club, room 920 – 9th floor)

Vinyl is back. There is no doubt about it: it’s a planetary popular source of music again. However, the market is flooded with editions of suspicious quality. If you want to be sure to avoid the traps, find out how to pick a quality record and be 100% sure that you are holding a 100% analog source, don’t miss this Audiofil Club workshop.

19.30 – Exclusive 4K Projection: ‘Boa – Live in Tvornica’

On March 25, 2017, musical group “Boa” held a performance in Zagreb’s concert venue Tvornica celebrating the publishing of their first two legendary albums in 1982 and their 35 years together. Thanks to Croatel the concert was filmed with 14 cameras that were placed throughout Tvornica in 4K UHD resolution. Watch the exclusive projection of the first Croatian concert filmed in 4K UHD technology. Only for Too Loud Fest visitors!

Enjoy music from the greatest Croatian musicians: Hrvoje Pintarić on the horn, Marino Zokić and Marko Bobičanac on the trumpets, Ivan Mučić on the trombone, and Danijel Požgaj on the tube. Tango, jazz, blues, cinema, and other genres will fill up the hallways and lobbies of the Hilton Hotel with vivid upbeat notes from the Podium Brass Quintet.


14.00 – 15.00 Workshop: How to upgrade an existing stereo system? (Audiofil Club, room 920 – 9th floor)

You have purchased a stereo system you’re generally content with, but something is telling you the sound could be better? Members of the Zagreb Audiofil Club will show you how to get the most out of an existing stereo system to afford you a maximum music listening pleasure.


17.00 – 18.00 Musical performance: Lela & Joe Kaplowitz (Blackwood, Mimoza room 2 – 2nd floor)

Lela Kaplowitz is a worldly experienced jazz singer. She has performed in prestigious venues such as the Madison Square Garden, Blue note, and Birdland in New York, and on many jazz festivals. She has worked with the world’s best jazz musicians.

Joe Kaplowitz is an experienced jazz piano player. He graduated piano, tuba, and composition in 1995 from the Youngstown State University. Since then, he has performed with many jazz musicians: Randy Jonston, Wycliff Gordan, Ralph Bowen, Eddie Daniels, James Moody, Ernie Krivda, Greg Bandy, and Sean Jones.


18.00 – 19.00 Workshop: Vinyl Factory – Part 2 (Audiofil Club, room 920 – 9th floor)

What makes an analog record desirable? How to recognize a collector’s edition? Where to find rarities and what to pay close attention to? Find the first-hand answers – at the Audiofil Club and their member collector’s workshop.
